It’s been almost 18 years since we’ve last seen TJ, Spinelli, Mikey, Gretchen, Vince, and Gus on the same screen. The bad news is that they’re all being remade in live-action.

A community theater in Westport, CT has raised almost half of the funds to produce this adaptation of “Snow White”. The cast will include local actors and actresses, many from the region.

The producers are currently working on hiring a technical crew to complete production for later this year. The only distinction is that the youngsters will now be teenagers.

Yes, that’s right! We’ll be able to track TJ and his friends as they go through high school and face themes including love, peer pressure, social media, and identity to name a few.

A Kid’s Crew is the team behind this live-action Recess, and they describe themselves as “die-hard fans” of the original animated series. They’re currently fundraising to fund their pet project.
