Pirates of Caribbean 6 Release Date

The sixth Pirates of the Caribbean movie is coming out soon, and fans have a lot of questions about what will happen. So far, here’s what we know!

Pirates of the Caribbean has become a very popular movie series. Even people who haven’t seen any of the movies know who the main character is: the swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow. Pirates of the Caribbean started out as just a movie version of a ride with the same name at a theme park.

However, it quickly became a popular and well-loved franchise with fans all over the world. The first movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, came out in 2003. Since then, four more movies have been made. Even though the number of people who watched the later movies dropped a lot, everyone still seems to love Captain Jack.

In 2018, it was announced that there would be a sixth movie in the series. But, even though many years have passed, there isn’t much solid information about the movie. Things like Depp’s refusal to play Jack Sparrow, the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Amber Heard defamation trial could have slowed down work on the movie.

Fans have come up with a lot of rumors and guesses in the meantime. Even though Depp said it would take “a million alpacas” to get him to play Jack Sparrow again, fans seem to want him back anyway. People aren’t sure if he’s really going to be in the movie or not because of all the fan art on the internet.

Pirates of Caribbean 6 Release Date

As of early August 2022, there was no official date for when Pirates of the Caribbean 6 would come out. Even though we don’t know much about the movie, it seems to be coming together. Even if bad news comes, Disney seems to have a plan for the movie.

With two scripts in the works, the studio has a plan B if they don’t get what they want. And usually, having a backup plan means that this movie will be made one way or another.

The Cast of Pirates of the Caribbean 6

We don’t know who will be in the movie yet. But Kaya Scodelario, who played Carina Barbossa in Dead Men Tell No Tales, says she has a contract to be in one more Pirates of the Caribbean movie. So, we expect to see the actress in the latest movie in the series. Maybe the movie’s plot could even be based on her story.

Aside from Scodelario, we can only make educated guesses about who else may be in the latest movie. It’s possible that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will be back. And Brenton Thwaites, who plays Carina Barbossa’s love interest Henry, could also be seen.

There are also rumors that Karen Gillan from Guardians of the Galaxy and Emma Watson from Harry Potter have been on Disney’s list of possible female leads.

But at the moment, everything points to Margot Robbie. In a statement, producer Jerry Bruckheimer said that they were in touch with her. But her role is still not a sure thing. Bruckheimer also said that the studio was writing two scripts, one with Robbie and one without him.

Even though she could never replace Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, Margot Robbie would be a great choice to play a brash pirate with strange but smart plans if the story ever needed to follow one. Harley Quinn sailing the seven seas would be pretty cool.

The Plot of Pirates of the Caribbean 6

Disney has asked Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson to write Pirates 6. Even though the script has been passed back and forth between Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick in 2019 and Craig Mazin and Ted Elliot in 2020, things seem to be coming together now.

Pirates of Caribbean 6 Release Date

Based on rumors about the cast and the fact that Disney hired Hudson as a writer, it seems like Disney is making a Pirates movie with women in the lead roles. Fans went back to the source to look for a possible story based on this small piece of information.

On the ride at the theme park, Redd, a red-headed female pirate, was at first a captive bride being auctioned off. But when some changes were made to the ride, she turned into a pirate and sold things she stole from the village at an auction.

It’s possible that the sixth movie will follow Redd’s story, but we don’t know for sure because we don’t have much evidence. The movie could be a reboot like Ghostbusters or Ocean’s 8, but neither of those films did very well. If the sequel storyline was kept going, the franchise would also have to deal with some unique problems.

At the end of Dead Men Tell No Tales, there was a scene with Davy Jones. Will thinks that Jones is coming to him in a dream, but the audience knows that Jones was actually in the room because the camera zooms in on the floor to show barnacles. So, the character with tentacles might be the focus of the sixth movie.
