American rapper, singer, and songwriter Symere Bysil Woods was born on July 31, 1995, well known by his stage name Lil Uzi Vert. Their music takes a melodic emo approach to trap, and their visual identity is defined by a plethora of piercings, tattoos, and unconventional hair and clothing styles.

Members of City Girls claimed on Twitter that Lil Uzi Vert and JT had broken up. JT’s tweet of “SINGLE!” on November 22 shocked both Lil Uzi Vert and his fanbase. Their devoted following was shocked to learn of their decision to separate ways. If you break up with Lil Uzi, you’ll also break up with his fanbase. Not cool, as one Twitter user put it. Certainly not, someone else chimed in, you and Lil Uzi are not finished.
An old tweet from 2015 in which JT’s ex-boyfriend expressed romantic interest in another woman surfaced earlier this year, and Lil Uzi Vert explained that this was the reason they broke up. Long before Uzi and JT started dating, of course. I don’t even do nothing and Jt broke up with me for this stupid ass shit FML,” Uzi tweeted before deleting the message.

JT, Yung Miami, and the other half of the hip-hop duo City Girls sat down for an “Actually Me” interview earlier this month. She recalled that others had asked her then if she and JT were engaged. In response, JT said that the couple had not yet exchanged engagement rings.
