Is ‘i Am Not Okay With This’ Season 2 Cancelled or Renewed on Netflix?
The film’s witty, angsty opening line of “I am not okay with this” was met with accolades when it debuted in February 2020, but where is season 2 now?
Many of us acquire acne during adolescence, but others develop superpowers. The superhero-themed I Am Not Okay With This is a unique take on the genre. It creates a compelling narrative by utilizing the end of Fxxxing World narrative techniques, as well as supernatural elements that aren’t unusual in a show like Stranger Things and some quirky coming-of-age humor that you’ll find in movies like To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. To call this a one-of-a-kind Netflix series isn’t too much of a stretch, but it has its own charm that is distinct from the rest.
I’m Not Pleased With My Renewal Status
I Am Not Okay With This may have been one of the most popular shows in 2020, but it will not be back for a second season. The program has been canceled due to Covid-19-related reasons, according to Deadline. According to sources, the show was renewed for season 2 in 2017, but the streamer was compelled to cancel it because of the pandemic.
‘We’ve decided not to greenlight second seasons of The Society and I Am Not Okay With This,’ Netflix announced in a statement to Deadline. ‘We’re sorry to have to make these cuts owing to COVID, and we thank Jonathan Entwistle, Christy Hall, Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen, and Josh Barry at 21 Laps Entertainment for I Am Not Okay With This; Chris Keyser, Marc Webb and Pavlina Hatoupis for The Society; and all the
Given that the pandemic has now gradually drawn to a close, there’s a possibility for Netflix to revive the series.

What Would’ve Happened in Season 2
I Am Not Okay With This was not given the opportunity to fully conclude its story because of its abrupt cancellation.
In the first season, Syd spent a lot of time trying to convince herself whether she was hallucinating or not. Eventually, she discovered that she was not, despite the fact that regulating her abilities was far beyond her capacity. We would’ve seen the dark figure (who some belief may be Syd’s father) guiding her to master her abilities in season 2 if it had continued. We’ll undoubtedly have to figure out how the community is going to deal with the blood-soaked prom aftermath. There’s a lot of ground for the series to cover, not just from Syd’s burgeoning superpowers and relationships’ standpoint. The conclusion of season 1 left us with a lot of unanswered questions.
A Graphic Novel Source
This one, like many recent Netflix Originals, is based on a graphic novel. Unlike some of the others, however, the source material is severely restricted in what it offers. Aside from the basic idea, setting, and a few scenes in between, the series hasn’t really followed the graphic novel closely. In the book, the tone was considerably more severe, and there was a much more concrete conclusion at the end. The first season covers the book’s general plot, but it expands on it considerably, resulting in a show that makes viewers hungry for more. Despite the fact that it’s been taken off Netflix, the first season is still available to watch.
