The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness is what the A Discovery of Witches series is based on. It was made in Britain. The name of the fantasy, romance-drama show comes from the first book in a series.
In September 2018, the show debuted in the UK on the SKY ONE TV channel. The first season had eight episodes. The response was pretty good, so Sky One decided to give it a second and third season. Ten episodes of the second season will air in January 2021.
Sundance Now, on January 8, 2022, Shudder and AMC Plus worked together to show the third season of “A Discovery of Witches.”
A Discovery of Witches
The story is about Diana Bishop, a historian and reluctant witch who finds a magical book in the Bodleian Library. Because of what she found, she has to go back to the magical world to find out what the library knows about magical beings.
Even though witches and vampires have been known to dislike each other for a long time, a mysterious geneticist and a vampire offer to help her. The two make a deal to work together to protect the book and figure out any threats or mysteries that are hidden from the creature’s world.
