Everything We Know So Far Death Parade Has Returned for the Second Season.

It might be a long time before fans see their favorite Death Parade Arbiter again.

The information in this article was recently reviewed and is still accurate as of June 16, 2021.

Since its debut in 2012, the games of the afterlife have been a mainstay on Ouran High School Host Club.

The anime series was produced by Madhouse in 2015 and has since become a surprise hit among anime fans.

The anime’s success grew so much that Madhouse was forced to answer frequent demands from fans for a second season. Despite being known for creating one-season anime series, the studio announced that a second season is in production.

What’s going on with the second season that was supposed to come? Is it still coming? Let’s find out.

Is There Any Chance the Second Season of Death Parade Will Be Released?

There has been no movement on Death Parade season 2 since its premiere, and there is no timetable for it. Despite this, on a good note, Madhouse did not announce the cancellation of the popular anime franchise, allowing fans to keep their spirits up.

Another short film, also created by Yuzuru Tachikawa, is the origin of Death Parade. The title Desu Paredo (Japanese for “without an end”) refers to a short film known as Death Billiards. The anime series consists of 12 episodes that aired from January to March 2015.

To others, it came as no surprise that Death Parade was a big success, given that Madhouse is known for creating enormous anime blockbusters such as Death Note, One Punch Man, Hunter x Hunter, and more.

Death Parade’s popularity has resulted in the announcement of a second season by Madhouse in 2016. Season 2 is still in production, and there have been many speculations as to why it has not debuted yet.

For one, the scarcity of material for season 2 may be a problem for Madhouse. Death Parade is unusual in that it is based exclusively on a short film by Tachikawa. Unlike other anime shows that are usually derived from books and manga, Death Parade is based only on the aforementioned movie.

If they decide to produce a second season, they’ll have to develop an entirely new storyline in order to match with the conclusion of season 1 since there is no real source material.

What’s the Story Behind the Making of ‘death Parade’ Season 2?

Let’s travel back to season one for a refresher.

The afterlife is a much darker, more complex place than we’re used to in The Departed or Inception. The film’s prologue concludes with a gathering of spirits as they await passage into the next realm.

Bartenders who serve as Arbiters operate the bars. They force deceased people to participate in Death Games to see whether they will be reincarnated or consigned to the void.

Decim is a bartender who serves as the Arbiter of Quindecim in this fantasy-noir narrative. After encountering a meddling black-haired woman named Chiyuki, Decim began to develop human sentiments.

Decim decided to rebirth Chiyuki as a result of a number of circumstances. Chiyuki and Decim departed, with Chiyuki moving on to a new life while Decim stayed behind in the bar, eager to welcome new spirits.

While the second season’s plot is still a secret, Madhouse can always return to Decim’s backstory and flesh out his personality. It’s also intriguing to see how Decim’s Arbiter personality will change as a result of his emotional encounter with Chiyuki.

There is also the possibility of sending Chiyuki back to her previous life once her current existence has come to an end. Is he able to recognize her? If that happens, will she be able to recognize Decim?
