With its second season, Big Shot, a show made by Disney Plus, is back on the court. Big Shot season 2 will show how Coach Korn and the Westbrook Sirens try to take their game to a whole new level. Of course, problems will come up.
Big Shot was made by David E. Kelley, Brad Garrett, and Dean Lorey, all of whom had worked in TV before. The creator of Big Little Lies, Anatomy of a Scandal, Big Sky, and The Lincoln Lawyer, David E. Kelley, also worked on Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., another Disney Plus original series. Big Shot may seem like an odd side project for Kelley.
Here’s everything we know about season 2 of Big Shot.
When Will the Second Season of Big Shot Premiere?
The second season of Big Shot starts on October 12. In the first season, new episodes of Big Shot came out every week. In the second season, however, you can watch all 10 episodes at once.
What is the Second Season of Big Shot About?
Big Shot is about a basketball coach named Marvyn Korn, whose temper got him kicked off an NCAA team. He gets a chance to make things right by coaching the girls’ high school basketball team at the private Westbrook school. But first, he will have to figure out how to connect with his players and his own teenage daughter.
At the end of the first season, the team moved up to a higher division, but the trailer for season 2 of Big Shot (see below) shows that there are just as many problems off the court as there are on it.
Here’s what we know about season 2 of Big Shot:
“Marvyn’s latest plan to make his team more popular is to get them on ESPN. To do this, he is recruiting Ava, a brave beach volleyball star whose public tantrum got her kicked out of the sport. This season, the Westbrook Sirens have even more to prove.
Their assistant coach, Holly Barrett, went to a rival school, and there are new problems between teammates, a sudden and unexpected closeness to boys, and disasters off the court that no one could have seen coming.”
Who is in the Season 2 Cast of Big Shot?
In Big Shot season 2, John Stamos plays the role of coach Marvyn Korn again. Many people think of Stamos as a TV icon because he starred in the hit sitcom Full House and then in the show’s Netflix reboot, Fuller House. He has also been on ER, Glee, Scream Queens, and You, among other shows.
Cricket Wampler (About a Boy) plays Samantha Finkman in Big Shot. Darcy Rose Byrnes (Desperate Housewives) plays Harper Schapira, Jessalyn Gilsig (Vikings) plays Holly Barrett, Sophia Mitri Schloss (The Kicks) plays Emma Korn, Nell Verlaque (Bull) plays Louise Gruzinsky, Tisha Custodio plays Carolyn Smith, Tiana Le (No Good Nick) plays Destiny
In season 2, Sara Exheagaray (Treat) joins the cast as the new player that coach Korn hires.
