Baby Driver 2 is coming and we know everything about it

The sequel to the critically acclaimed film, Baby Driver 2 will be released. It’s been a long wait for fans of the original movie but now that we have all the details, it seems like it’ll be worth the wait. We’ve compiled everything you need to know about this highly anticipated sequel in one place so you can stay up-to-date with all things Baby Driver!

Everything We Know So Far About Baby Driver 2

Edgar Wright, the film’s director, and screenwriter intend to bring Baby back.

This article was just reviewed and is as up to date as of June 14, 2021.

Four years have passed since Edgar Wright’s thrilling film included heists, vehicle chases, and action sequences.

To be honest, we’ve been a little antsy to see Baby back in a Sequel.

There have been rumors about a sequel for a long time, but is it actually happening? Let’s find out.

Is a Baby Driver Sequel on the Way?

There has been no confirmation of a sequel, although the team has been extremely eager to make one. In 2017, Wright stated that they were already in negotiations for a sequel.

The details are being finalized as we speak. So, hopefully, I’ll be able to produce a second book. ‘I’ve got a lot of thoughts,’ said Wright.

In early 2019, director and screenwriter Edgar Wright revealed that a draft script for the sequel is completed. In July 2020, lead actor Ansel Elgort announced that he had read the completed script.

During a discussion with MTV, Elgort was asked if Wright had shown him the draft script. He responded, ‘Yes, he has.’

The 26-year-old actor stated that he believes the sequel will come about, but it will not be known as a sequel.

Here is a short clip of the interview. Is it possible that BabyDrive 2 will ever be released? According to actor Ansel Elgort, the title has been revealed by director Edgar Wright, and he’s read a script. ‘I believe it will happen,’ says Elgort.

In January 2021, when asked about the script in an interview with Variety, Wright said it was done.

When Will the Baby Driver Sequel Be in Theaters?

The sequel is still in the early stages of production, and there have been no announcements. As a result, no release dates have been announced.

Starring John Boyega and directed by Mike Dougherty, Rampage is a 2019 American science-fiction action film based on a video game of the same name. It was released in UK and US theaters on June 28, 2017, after premiering at South by Southwest on March 11, 2017.

With the sequel’s progress at this point, we’ll have to wait years before Baby returns on screen again.

The Cast of the Original Movie

As previously stated, the sequel is still in early development, and no casting information has been revealed yet.

Nonetheless, we’re hoping that Ansel Elgort will reprise his role as the titular character.

We’re expecting to see Lily James return as Baby’s love interest, Debora.

The rest of the characters are difficult to predict, as the first film pretty much concludes the main narrative. It’s possible that the sequel will follow a new course, which implies Doc and his crew might not return.

What Will the Sequel Be About?

Because the first film had a clear beginning, middle, and (we’re guessing) ambiguous conclusion, predicting where the sequel will pick up is difficult.

The series revolves around Miles (also known as Baby), who drives a getaway car in Atlanta. Their objective is to transport a team of robbers prepared by Doc, a notorious gangster.

He meets Debora, a young waitress who turns out to be his future love interest in the middle of Baby’s perilous and chaotic existence. At the conclusion of the series, Baby was reunited with Debora after completing his sentence in prison.

Baby and Debora are free to begin a new existence after their release, but something is telling us that trouble will not allow them to enjoy the tranquil existence they always desired.

We already know that the sequel won’t be called Baby, so we can expect to see Debora and her infant face a new slew of problems in the sequel. The sequel may avoid the high-speed vehicle chases that characterized it.

What to Expect When You Are Expecting Its Trailer?

It will be a while before we see an official trailer for the sequel. It would be impossible to predict when the actual trailer would debut until there is an official announcement and release date for the sequel. It might take years, but we’re confident that it will be well worth the wait.

We’ll keep you informed about any new developments.
