Marvel Is Looking at a Walking Dead Star to Play Norman Osborn
Rumors are flying about the actor who will play popular villain The Green Goblin in the Spider-Man universe, and it’s all thanks to Norman Osborn, also known as The Green Goblin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Far From Home” will give us our first look at Oscorp in Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4. After acquiring the Avengers Tower, Stark Tower became a topic of debate for fans due to its religious affiliation. Now we know why since the following TV commercial revealed that it had been bought by someone else.
We think that Avengers Tower is now Oscorp, and that when you see Oscorp, Norman Osborn, better known as the Green Goblin, hides close by. Far From Home, but due to Norman Osborn casting calls, he is not too far off.
The Walking Dead Governor, played by David Morrisey, is currently Marvel’s top choice for the part of ‘The Green Goblin,’ according to a Reddit user TheMarvelScoopMaster who has been sharing a lot of leaks lately.
When asked who they believed would assume the role and portray such an iconic villain, the leader replied, “I’d say Joker since he’s got a lot of personalities.”
Roger Wardell, a fourth source with an excellent leak history who has stated that Marvel is interested in Morrisey and was looking at him for several movies, verified this information. Most people assumed that Marvel was having trouble placing him in a role and was having difficulties matching him to a character. Given the recent leaks, this quote most likely means that he has been given a codename for his character.
According to the MarvelScoopMaster, MCU Phase 4 will feature two large supervillains rather than one like in PHASE 3. Instead of one bad guy like Thanos, there will be one cosmic adversary in the person of Michael Korvac, and one local adversary in the form of Norman Osborn. This is a typical narrative pattern that comic book enthusiasts are familiar with as the Dark Reign comics storyline.
The first name that springs to mind when casting Norman Osborn Green Goblin is most certainly not David Morrisey, and he isn’t on any fan list for the role. But for followers of The Walking Dead who have seen Morrisey in all its various forms, we couldn’t be happier to see him take on another bad guy part. Far From Home in theaters on July 2nd.
